You are a Software Engineering Manager to join a team of SaaS applications engineering. As part of the engineering team, the Software Engineering Manager will work closely with the Head of Apps and Head of Product to discuss the product's vision and strategy.

About the position

Work closely with the Head of Apps to discuss engineering challenges and problems;
Work closely with the Head of Product when technical knowledge is needed;
Develop best-in-class features for Shop Circle’s SaaS Ruby on Rails apps and make sure the apps satisfy our clients’ technical needs;
Manage engineering team projects and communicates blockers;
Set attainable goals to team members to complete the project on time;
Provide guidance to team members to encourage work productivity;
Ensure appropriate procedures and processes are followed when it comes to software development;
Ensure an appropriate level of code quality by participating in code reviews;
Contribute actively in implementation efforts.

Job requirements

Have at least 5 years of full-time experience in app development at SaaS company;
Have full stack development experience on at least one project;
Are experienced in Agile Methodologies;
Have excellent written and oral communication skills in English;
Have experience in leading a team of developers;
Are a self-motivated team player who enjoys working in a dynamic startup environment.
